IHHT · Hypoxic-hyperoxic training

IHHT devices for professional centres, practices and home.

Interval training with air: alternating oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched air, driven by the user's blood oxygen saturation or heart rate. No pressure, no chamber, just a mask and a unit. Three systems: IHHT MAX, IHHT PRO and IHHT HOME.

How it works

How an IHHT session works

Intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training alternates air with less and with more oxygen, guided by your own oxygen saturation.

Intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training (IHHT), delivered by a device often called a hypoxicator, alternates short, controlled phases of oxygen-reduced air with phases of oxygen-enriched air, breathed through a mask at normal pressure. On our systems the switching is driven by the user's blood oxygen saturation or heart rate, with the SpO₂ protection value separately adjustable.

Because IHHT needs no pressure and no chamber, the footprint and installation requirements are small: a unit on castors, a mask, a wireless SpO₂ finger clip and an ordinary wall socket. That makes it the system for centres with many changing users per day, for practices with limited space and for consistent training at home.

IHHT needs more attention in the first sessions, because settings are determined per user. We train your staff in that. HBOT and IHHT can run side by side: capacity grows without one unit determining all the revenue.

Automatic safety control

The IHHT MAX switches to hyperoxia below 85% SpO₂ (adjustable 80–90%) and back to hypoxia above 94% SpO₂ (adjustable 90–97%), with a heart rate threshold of 50 to 200 bpm and control modes by SpO₂, heart rate or time. The IHHT PRO and IHHT HOME regulate within the session with real-time SpO₂ and heart rate monitoring.

Which oxygen range?

The IHHT MAX covers 9–15% hypoxic to 30–40% hyperoxic with a flow of 26–100 L/min. The IHHT PRO has the widest range in the line at 9–34%, covering both deep hypoxic protocols and hyperoxic recovery. The IHHT HOME runs 11–28%, which suits energy, recovery, focus and vitality programmes at home or in a small practice.

Active and passive sessions

An IHHT session usually takes around 50 to 60 minutes and can be passive, seated, or active in combination with a bike, air bike or treadmill. Professional centres combine IHHT with HBOT in one programme rather than selling individual sessions.

IHHT or altitude training?

IHHT alternates oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases, driven by SpO₂ or heart rate, for recovery, performance and vitality programmes. The HT LOW altitude trainer delivers oxygen-reduced air only, for targeted altitude adaptation. Many sports clubs run both side by side.

FAQ

Frequently asked about IHHT

What does an IHHT device cost?

Prices depend on the system and on whether you purchase, rent or lease. The IHHT MAX is also available to rent. We prepare a quotation per project, including delivery, installation, training and service.

Does IHHT need a special room?

No. An IHHT unit stands on castors, runs from an ordinary wall socket and produces less than 48 dB. A treatment room, recovery room or living room is enough.

Can IHHT be used at home?

Yes. The IHHT HOME is designed for the home and the smaller practice: compact, quiet and with the same control principle as the larger systems. We explain safe use and per-user settings on handover.

Is IHHT the same as altitude training?

No. IHHT alternates oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases driven by SpO₂ or heart rate. Altitude training delivers oxygen-reduced air only and is intended for targeted altitude adaptation.
