A clear head, sharper focus and a better memory

Your brain is a fifth of your body's oxygen use. No wonder people who feel foggy, tired in their head or less sharp than they would like look at oxygen first.

Focus, memory and processing speed depend on a steady supply of oxygen to the brain. HBOT raises the oxygen available in your blood during a session; IHHT trains how your body handles changes in oxygen.

In a randomised trial in healthy adults over 64, the HBOT group was compared with a control group over three months. Researchers measured changes in attention, information processing speed and blood flow in the brain. In young adults at high altitude, mild HBOT was linked to better working-memory scores.

What researchers measured

The studies and data come from the researchers and journals cited, not from OxyBoost. We show them for information only.

  1. HBOTRandomised trial2020

Cognitive enhancement of healthy older adults using hyperbaric oxygen: a randomized controlled trial

    Hadanny A, et al. · Aging (2020)

    63 healthy adults over 64

Over three months the HBOT group was compared with a control group. Researchers measured changes in global cognitive function, mainly attention and information processing speed, and in regional cerebral blood flow.

  2. HBOTReview2021

Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment—From Mechanisms to Cognitive Improvement

    Gottfried I, et al. · Biomolecules (2021)

    Narrative review

An overview of how oxygen under increased pressure acts at the cellular level: mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, inflammation and the regulation of genes, and how this relates to research on cognition.

  3. Mild HBOTRandomised trial2026

A randomized controlled trial of mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy on cognitive performance and sleep quality in healthy young adults at high altitude

Lin YX, et al. · Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease (2026)

60 healthy young men living at 4,300 m

Over five days, a mild hyperbaric group was compared with a control group. The mild hyperbaric group showed a larger improvement in sleep quality and higher accuracy on a working-memory task, with changes in brain activation measured by near-infrared spectroscopy.
