Altitude training

Altitude training without going to the mountains.

A standalone altitude trainer that delivers oxygen-reduced air, simulating time spent at altitude up to 6,500 metres. Intended for targeted altitude adaptation: preparing for a trek or a competition at altitude, or building tolerance to oxygen-reduced conditions.

How it works

Altitude training without the altitude

At altitude the air pressure is lower, so every breath contains less oxygen. An altitude generator recreates that at normal air pressure.

Altitude equivalents calculated for the same oxygen partial pressure in the inhaled (dry) air, using the International Standard Atmosphere, and rounded.

Altitude simulation reduces the oxygen concentration of the air you breathe through a mask, from 18% down to 9%, which corresponds to an altitude of up to 6,500 metres. The HT LOW is a standalone hypoxic generator for exactly that: targeted altitude adaptation before a trek, an expedition or a competition at altitude.

The HT LOW focuses on one thing: oxygen-reduced air for targeted altitude adaptation, with manual settings and simple operation. That makes it the entry model for mountain sports, treks and competition, and a sensible addition alongside IHHT and HBOT in a sports club.

Altitude training vs IHHT

Altitude training exposes the body to oxygen-reduced air for a sustained period. IHHT alternates oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases in intervals, driven by the user's SpO₂ or heart rate. If your goal is adaptation to altitude, choose the HT LOW. If your goal is a training stimulus for recovery, performance and vitality programmes, choose an IHHT system.

Who uses it

Mountain sports, trekking and expeditions, athletes preparing for a competition at altitude, and sports clubs that want to add altitude adaptation to a Recovery & Performance zone. The HT LOW combines with IHHT and HBOT in the same location.

FAQ

Frequently asked about altitude training

How high can the HT LOW simulate?

From 0 to 6,500 metres of simulated altitude, with an oxygen concentration of 9 to 18%, delivered through a mask.

Can I combine altitude training with IHHT?

Yes. The HT LOW is combinable alongside IHHT and HBOT. Sports clubs often run all three in one Recovery & Performance zone.

Does the HT LOW store training data?

The HT LOW works with manual settings and simple operation. If you want automatic SpO₂ control and session curves on screen, the IHHT systems offer exactly that, and both run side by side.
